Language settings
Your Fairphone is designed to be globally friendly, allowing you to tailor its language settings to your personal preferences. Whether you want to change the language for your entire device, a specific app, or even just your keyboard, these steps will guide you through the process, ensuring your phone speaks your language.

How to change the language for the whole device
- Go to Settings → System → Languages and input.
- Tap Languages → Add a language.
- Choose your preferred language.
Tip: If you have more than one language, drag your preferred language to the top of the list.
How to change the language of an individual app
- Go to Settings → System → Languages and input.
- Tap App languages and select the app you want to change.
- Choose your preferred language.
(You can only change the language for apps that support language selection).
How to change the language of the keyboard
- On your Fairphone, tap in any text field to open up the keyboard.
- Tap the Settings icon in the top right of the keyboard to access keyboard settings.
- Tap Languages → Add keyboard.
- Choose your preferred language.
- Tap Done.
