Fairphone Back Covers

The Fairphone has an integrated Back Cover that acts as a battery cover.

It connects to the core module to contain all the other spare parts.

Interestingly, in the Fairphone 4, it hosts part of the NFC antenna

In case you need to replace it, you can find a new one in the spare parts section of our online shop

How do I remove and put back the Back Cover?

For The Fairphone (Gen. 6), to remove the back cover, we advise that you first power off the phone by long pressing the Power button. Depending on your settings, you might have to press the power button and volume up button together to access the power menu.

Next, place the phone on a flat surface with the screen facing down. Take off the lower back cover by removing the two screws on the top left and top right of it. Slide the lower back cover off towards the bottom. To put it back, slide the cover up and replace the screws.
