Keep Club - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – Support

The Keep Club is our way to reward you for keeping your Fairphone for as long as possible, as well as promoting our mission to your friends and family.

From referring friends to buying spare parts, every Fairphone friendly action you do will allow you to build up points that you can either use for a discount, or donate to the Alliance for Responsible Mining (ARM). Our goal is to reward you for keeping your phone longer and making the planet cleaner.

How do I join the Keep Club?

Go to the Keep Club page, click on Join Now and follow the instructions. In there, you will also find all the general information about the program. You will find the answers to questions like "How does it work?", "How do I collect points?", and "How do I use my points?".

How old do I need to be to join the Keep Club?

To join the Keep Club, you need to be at least 18 years old.

Where do I need to live to join the Keep Club?

To join the Keep Club, you need to live in one of the countries we ship to.

Referrals in Keep Club

How do referrals work in Keep Club?

Our referral program rewards both you and your friends!

For your friend: They receive a €50 discount towards a Fairphone or Fairbuds XL.
For you: Once their order is placed, you earn 250 Keep Club points (worth €25).

How do I refer a friend?

Navigate to the Refer a Friend section.
If you are signed in: simply click "Copy Link" or choose one of the direct sharing options.
If you are not signed in: enter your email address when prompted to generate your unique link.

Is there a limit to how many people I can refer?

You can share your referral link with as many people as you like - sharing is unlimited! However, you can earn the 250 point reward for a maximum of 10 successful referrals (meaning 10 friends have completed a purchase).

How do I earn points in Keep Club?

This is how you can earn points:

Joining the club: Receive 20 points for joining the Keep Club.
Phone’s Birthday: Earn 20 points for every year you keep your phone.
Purchase of spare parts, protective cases or screen protectors: For every EUR or GBP spent on spare parts or protective accessories on our webshop, earn 1 point.
Successful referral: Earn 250 points for each successful referral.
Follow us on Instagram: Earn 10 points for following us on Instagram.
Follow us on TikTok: Earn 10 points for visiting our TikTok page through the Keep Club page.
Retweet: Earn 10 points when retweeting our pre-selected tweet.
Newsletter: Earn 10 points for subscribing to our newsletter.
Watch or read content: Earn 20 points when watching or reading our pre-selected content and answering an easy question at the end.
Recycling: Earn 20 points for each phone you return through our Reuse & Recycling Program.
Register warranty: Earn 10 points for registering the extended warranty for your Fairphone.

How do I spend points in Keep Club?

10 points equals €1, so 100 points equals €10 (and identical in GBP). There are two ways to spend points. You can choose how many points to use for a discount by selecting the 'Choose Reward' drop down box on an order in the checkout. Points can only be redeemed when reaching the following levels: 100, 250, 500, 750, 1000 and 1,500.

The second way of spending points is by donating your points on the Keep Club page to the charity provided. This charity is our longstanding partner Alliance for Responsible Mining (ARM). With a donation, you can support their important work with the agromining cooperate of Iquira in Colombia. Points can be donated in the same increment amounts as above.

Can I get points from an old order in Keep Club?

Unfortunately, no. We cannot add points to your account retroactively. You only start earning points once you have officially opted into Keep Club.

Do my points in Keep Club expire?

If you’ve racked up enough points - use them! If you don’t intend to buy something at the moment, you can donate your points. For administrative and financial reasons, your points will expire after 3 years. Please check our Terms and Conditions for all the details.

Tier System in Keep Club

How does the tiers system work in Keep Club?

The Keep Club has three tiers: Copper, Silver and Gold. By collecting points, you will be able to move up in tier and access different benefits. Upon registration, you will automatically be placed in Copper.

How often do the tiers expire in Keep Club?

Points remain valid for 3 years from the date of gaining them, and can be used to redeem rewards, such as webshop discount codes. Tier eligibility, however, is based on a rolling 12-month window. Only the points earned in the past 12 months count towards your current tier status.

If you have not collected any new points after the 12 months following the accession to your current tier, you will be downgraded to the previous tier. We cover this and more in the Keep Club terms and conditions, and thank you for your understanding.

How to claim your 2025 Gold Tier Gift?

Once a year, we send a special gift to our Gold Tier members to celebrate their status! In 2025, we organised this in December, and so we are likely to organise this again at the end of 2026.

Phone's Birthday in Keep Club

What is the phone's birthday in Keep Club?

Earn 20 points for every year you keep your phone! Register your phone in your Fairphone account where it says 'Keep Club' and wait for the automatic email confirming we registered your phone’s birthday. We calculate yearly points based on the date you installed it/booted up for the first time.

Why can I not register my Fairphone 1 or Fairphone 2 for birthday points?

Fairphone 1 or Fairphone 2 cannot be registered, as we no longer offer support for these phones. It is a bittersweet thing for us to say, as we were truly proud of what we did with these. I cannot see my birthday points registered in Keep Club - why not?

If you have an alternative software installed, our system is unable to recognise your device as "active" and so you will not receive birthday points. We cover this in the Keep Club terms and conditions. Thank you for your understanding! If you are not using an alternative software, then please contact our Customer Support and select 'Keep Club' in our contact form, and we will investigate with you.

Donations in Keep Club

Where do Keep Club donations go?

If you choose to donate points, your donation will go in full to purchase Fairmined Gold Credits as additional contributions to responsible artisanal mining. This is additional to Fairphone’s own Gold Credit purchases to account for the material footprint of our products, as per our fair materials target we set for ourselves every year.
