Scanning a QR code with your Fairphone

QR codes allow you to quickly access websites, connect to Wi-Fi, or find information. Depending on your Fairphone version, you can scan QR codes directly through Quick Settings or via the camera app.

Some of these steps only work if your Fairphone has Android 13 or above. Find out How to check and update your software version.

 


Scan a QR code using Quick Settings

  1. On your Fairphone, swipe down twice from the top of your screen to open all Quick Settings.
  2. Tap QR code scanner.

Scan a QR code using the Camera app

If you have a Fairphone 4 or later, QR scanning is also built directly into the Camera app.

Fairphone (Gen. 6)

  1. On your Fairphone, open the Camera app.
  2. Point your camera at the QR code.

Fairphone 4 and 5

  1. On your Fairphone, open the Camera app.
  2. Tap the Google Lens icon between the preview and capture button.
  3. Point your camera at the QR code.

 


Scan a QR code using the Google widget

If you have the Google widget on your Home screen, you can scan QR codes using Google Lens.

  1. On your Home screen, tap the Google Lens (camera) icon.
  2. Point your camera at the QR code.
