How do I clean the Fairphone protective case?

You can easily clean your Protective Soft Case with the kind of cloth used to clean glasses. If you separate it from the phone, you can clean it with baby wipes, a microfiber cloth with soft soap, or address persistent stains with a pencil eraser.

For The Fairphone (Gen. 6) Flip Case, please follow these specific instructions based on the material:

• Outer PU Fabric: To remove stains, gently wipe the surface with a clean cloth dampened with a small amount of water or alcohol.

• Inner Microfiber Lining: * For surface dust, use a soft brush.

  • For deeper dirt, use a clean cloth dampened with water to gently wipe the fabric.

  • Note: Do not use alcohol or other cleaning agents on the inner microfiber, as it may damage the material. We cannot guarantee the removal of all deep-seated stains.

The protective cases are more prone to getting dirty because we decided to limit the preparation and coating to diminish the amount of waste and hazardous materials involved in producing the covers.

• Black (version 1) and Green: non-toxic TPU (plastic) from Lubrizol, which contains 37% of biomaterial: bio-based carbon content - No extra coating applied. Sustainable: (better than biodegradable).
• Blue and Black (version 2): Non-toxic TPU (plastic) 100% pre-consumer recycled material (so recycled from industry plastics, not plastics of end-users).

Can I get a new bumper for my Fairphone 3?

The Fairphone 3 shipped with a protective Bumper in the box. This was decided in order to give extra protection from falls and scratches while we were busy developing a fairer product (the Protective Case). The bumper is not available in our store.

If you want extra protection for your Fairphone 3, we recommend to purchase a Protective Case.

In our effort to increase the sustainability of our products, the bumper was excluded in the package of Fairphone 3+.
