How to find the Serial Number and CE marking on Fairbuds and Fairbuds 2

Locating your Fairbuds hardware credentials is essential when registering your device or contacting customer support for warranty service. Here is where to find your unique Serial Number and CE safety marking on your product and packaging.

How to locate the Serial Number on your Fairbuds

Your Fairbuds Serial Number is printed on the hardware itself and listed on the packaging box.

  1. Open the charging case lid and remove the earbuds.
  2. Remove the outer shell or check inside the battery compartment to locate the printed Serial Number label.
  3. Alternatively, check the white barcode label on the bottom of your original Fairbuds packaging box.

How to locate the Serial Number on your Fairbuds 2

Your Fairbuds 2 Serial Number is on the original packaging box and engraved into the device. To find it on the device: 

  1. Open the charging case lid and remove the earbuds.
  2. Remove the screw at the base of the Fairbuds case using a Torx screwdriver
  3. Remove the inner shell from the outer shell by placing two fingers in the earbud compartment, gripping the bottom of the case with your other hand, and pulling. 
  4. The Serial Number is printed just above the battery compartment in the inner shell. 

Alternatively, check the white barcode label on the bottom of your original Fairbuds packaging box.

Understanding Serial Number prefixes

Your Serial Number prefix identifies the specific hardware generation batch of your product. For example: 

  • E4 prefix: Refers to Fairbuds hardware batch four.
  • E5 prefix: Refers to Fairbuds hardware batch five.

Always include the full Serial Number string, including the E4 or E5 prefix, when submitting a support request or warranty claim.

How to find the CE marking

The official CE compliance mark is laser-etched:

  • Fairbuds: on the inner side of the charging case lid and printed on the exterior of the original retail box.
  • Fairbuds 2: on the bottom side of the charging case and printed on the exterior of the original retail box.
