How to charge your Fairphone battery
Your Fairphone comes with a removable, lithium-ion battery. To charge your phone safely:
- Connect one end of your charging cable to a compatible power adapter.
- Connect the USB-C end of the cable (or Micro-USB cable for the Fairphone 2) to the charging port at the bottom of the Fairphone.
- Connect your power adapter directly to a working wall outlet.

No, Fairphone smartphones do not support wireless charging because wired charging is significantly more efficient. We may consider wireless charging in the future as technology improves.
How can I tell if my Fairphone is charging?
When you plug in your phone, the display lights up and shows the current battery percentage. You can also turn on charging feedback by going to Settings > Sound & vibration and toggling Charging sounds and vibration.
