What you need before you begin
- A clean, flat work surface
- A plastic card or guitar pick for leverage
- Your replacement battery or left speaker cover from our online shop
Safely dispose of your old battery at a nearby electronic waste recycling center or municipal collection station. Do not throw it in regular household waste.
How to replace your battery and speaker cover
- Turn off your Fairbuds XL and keep your replacement spare parts nearby.
- Locate the left earcup where the battery is housed.
- Insert your fingers or a plastic prying card under the edge of the left speaker cover and lift it away from the earcup.

- Fairbuds XL (2025): Insert the battery with "fairphone" and the battery icon facing upward.
- Press down gently on the battery to ensure it fits securely in place.
