Refreshing worn earpads or cleaning your Fairbuds XL is quick and simple thanks to our tool-free twist-and-click design. This guide shows you how to align and replace both left and right ear cushions.

• Replacement ear cushions from our online shop
• No tools are required for this repair

How to remove and fit your ear cushions

1. Place your Fairbuds XL on a flat surface in front of you with the ear cushions facing you, the control buttons facing you, and the headband pointing away.
2. Twist the cushion in the correct direction to release it from the locking hooks:
   • Right cushion: Twist the ear cushion away from you until you hear a click.

   • Left cushion: Twist the ear cushion toward you until you hear a click.

     When twisting an ear cushion, hold the textile or PU leather fabric with one hand and the hard plastic base with your other hand. Never twist by pulling solely on the fabric.
3. Remove the cushion from the speaker unit.
4. Align your replacement ear cushion with the hooks on the speaker unit. Match the arrow printed on the inside of the cushion to the arrow on the speaker.
5. Ensure all mounting holes align with the hooks, then twist in the opposite direction to lock it into place:
   • Right cushion: Twist the ear cushion toward you until it clicks into place.
   • Left cushion: Twist the ear cushion away from you until it clicks into place.
