What you need before you begin

• A clean, flat work surface
• A Phillips #00 screwdriver
• Replacement 2023 headband, fold-open cover, or audio cable spare parts from our online shop

How to remove the fold-open headband cover

1. Turn off your Fairbuds XL.
2. Unplug the internal USB-C cable from the speaker unit on one side.
3. Flap open the headband cover.
4. Lift the silver locking lever to release the headband base and speaker.
5. Slide the headband cover completely off the headband frame.

How to remove the headband frame and audio cable

1. Unplug the internal USB-C cable on the opposite earcup.
2. Lift the silver locking lever on the opposite side to release that headband base and speaker unit.
3. Slide the original internal USB-C cable out of the headband frame.

How to assemble your replacement parts

1. Slide the replacement internal USB-C cable back into the channel of the headband frame.
2. Slide the fold-open headband cover over the cable and headband frame.
3. Slide the headband base into the headband frame and push the silver lever down to lock it.
4. Flap the headband cover closed over the frame.
5. Apply the speaker cover.
6. Plug the internal USB-C audio cable firmly into the sockets on both speaker units. Ensure both ends are fully seated to maintain a reliable audio connection.
