How to pair your Fairbuds 2 with your device

Find out how to pair your earbuds for the first time, switch between devices using dual-point connectivity, or clear your pairing record if you run into connection issues.

How to pair your Fairbuds 2

If your Fairbuds 2 are brand new or have been factory reset, they’ll automatically enter pairing mode when you open the case with the Fairbuds inside.

To pair them to other devices:

  1. Ensure both earbuds are inside the charging case and open the lid.
  2. Press and hold the button on the inside of the charging case for four seconds while the three LED lights countdown and then flash white.
  3. Open the Bluetooth menu on your device and select Fairbuds from the list of available devices.

If you use an Android device, a Google Fast Pair pop-up window will appear on your screen automatically when you open the charging case lid. Tap Connect to pair instantly, or download the app through the same pop-up.

How to pair and connect to two devices at the same time

Your Fairbuds 2 feature dual-point connectivity, meaning you can stay connected to two devices simultaneously. Up to six devices can be remembered.

After initial pairing, using the instructions above, the earbuds automatically reconnect to previously paired devices. To manually connect a specific device, select your Fairbuds 2 from that device's Bluetooth menu.

You will hear a chime whenever a device connects or disconnects.

How to reset your Fairbuds 2 Bluetooth connection

If your Fairbuds 2 fail to connect, clearing your Bluetooth pairing record on your device and Fairbuds 2 will restore default connection settings.

This will factory reset your Fairbuds 2. All saved settings will be erased, including paired devices, ANC mode preferences, and Fairbuds app configurations (such as custom audio tuning).

  1. Open the Bluetooth menu on your connected device and tap Forget or Unpair next to Fairbuds 2.
  2. Place both earbuds inside the charging case with the lid open.
  3. Press and hold the function button on the charging case for 10 seconds.
  4. The LED lights inside the case will flash quickly five times to confirm the reset is complete.
