How to turn on and charge your Fairbuds 2

Keeping your Fairbuds 2 charged ensures uninterrupted listening throughout your day. Here is how to turn your earbuds on or off and charge them safely using standard USB-C equipment.

How to power your Fairbuds 2 on and off

Your Fairbuds 2 power on and off automatically based on their position in the charging case:

  • Turn on: Open the charging case lid. The earbuds will turn on and connect to your last paired device automatically.
  • Turn off: Place both earbuds back into the charging case and close the lid.

If your Fairbuds 2 are inactive for more than 15 minutes, or left in pairing mode for more than five minutes, they will automatically switch off. You can turn them back on by putting the Fairbuds back in the case, closing the lid, and reopening it.

How to charge your Fairbuds 2 and charging case

Your Fairbuds 2 charge automatically whenever they're in the case. To charge both the earbuds and the case simultaneously, follow the steps below.

  1. Place both earbuds into the charging case.
  2. Connect a USB-C cable to the port on the side of the charging case.
  3. Plug the other end of the cable into a certified power adapter. We recommend a charger supplying 5V and at least 0.5A (2.5W).
  4. Check the LED light on the side of the case to view current battery status:
    • Green: 100%
    • Yellow: 25 to 99%
    • Red: less than 25%

How to check the battery level of your Fairbuds 2 and case

The battery level of your Fairbuds and case is displayed every time you open the case using the three LED lights on the inside of the case:

  • Three lights: battery level is 76 to 100%
  • Two lights: battery level is 26 to 75%
  • One light: battery level is 10 to 25%
  • One light blinking: battery level is less than 10%

To find specific battery levels:

  • Both Fairbuds: Ensure both Fairbuds are in the case. Open the lid, the LED lights will indicate the battery level of the Fairbud with the lowest charge.
  • One Fairbud: Place the desired Fairbud in the case and remove the other Fairbud. Close and reopen the lid, the LED lights will indicate the battery level Fairbud inside the case.
  • Charging case: Remove both Fairbuds from the case and open the charging case lid. The LED lights will indicate the battery level of the charging case.
    • The battery status of the case is also displayed on the outer LED:
      • Green: 75 to 100%
      • Yellow: 25 to 74%
      • Red: 10 to 24%
      • Red, blinking: less than 10%

Charging times and battery specifications

  • Earbuds charge time: Approximately two hours inside the case to reach 100% battery capacity. Charging your earbuds for 10 minutes inside the case provides up to two hours of playback time.
  • Charge time: Approximately two hours via USB-C cable will fully charge the Fairbuds and the charging case.
  • Usage time: Up to 40 hours of total playback when fully charged.
