How to replace the outer shell and core on your Fairbuds 2 charging case

Replacing the outer shell or charging case core of your Fairbuds is a simple way to keep your earbuds protected and working like new.

What you need before you begin

• A T5 Torx screwdriver
• Your Fairbuds charging case
• A replacement outer shell or charging case core

Step 1: Empty the charging case

1. Open the lid of your charging case.
2. Remove both earbuds and set them safely aside.
3. Close the lid and turn the charging case over.

Step 2: Remove the bottom screw

1. Locate the single screw on the bottom of the charging case.
2. Using your T5 Torx screwdriver, turn counterclockwise to unscrew it.
3. Keep the screw in a safe spot for reassembly.

Step 3: Separate the outer shell and core

1. Open the lid of the charging case.
2. Place your fingers inside the charging case core.
3. Gently pull apart with your other hand to separate the outer shell from the core.
4. Swap in your new outer shell or core as needed.

Step 4: Reassemble the charging case

1. Align the notches on the outer shell and core, then slide them together until they snap firmly into place.
2. Insert the screw into the bottom and turn clockwise to tighten it without overtightening.
3. Return your earbuds to the charging case.
