How to change the charging case battery on your Fairbuds 2

If your Fairbuds 2 charging case is no longer holding a charge, replacing the internal battery is a quick way to restore full power. Follow these step-by-step instructions to safely swap out the old battery for a new one.

What you need before you begin

• Fairbuds 2 charging case
• T5 Torx screwdriver
• Replacement charging case battery

How to remove the old battery

1. Open the charging case lid, take out both Fairbuds, and set them aside.
2. Close the lid, turn the charging case over, and use your T5 Torx screwdriver to turn the bottom screw counterclockwise until removed.
3. Open the lid, insert your fingers into the charging case core, and gently pull the outer shell away from the core.
4. Flip the case core over to locate the battery on the bottom side.
5. Use a fingernail to hook under the tab on the left side of the battery, lift up, and remove the battery from its slot.

How to install the new battery and reassemble

1. Align the metal contact points of your replacement battery with the metal contact points inside the slot.
2. Slide the right side of the battery in first to engage the metal contact points, then press down the rest of the battery.
3. Slide the case core back into the outer shell, ensuring the notches align, and press together.
4. Reinsert the bottom screw and turn it clockwise using your T5 Torx screwdriver until snug.
5. Place your Fairbuds back into the charging case.
