Global network coverage

Find out where you can use your Fairphone, and which mobile networks it supports.

Using your Fairphone in Europe

All Fairphone devices are optimized for European mobile networks. For a full list of our partners in Europe, see our Where to buy page.

If your Fairphone is 5G compatible, it can also connect to most 5G networks in Europe. Check with your network operator for details.

Using your Fairphone in the US

The Murena Fairphone 4 (with /e/OS) is our initial step into the US market. You can purchase this specific model directly from our sales partner, Murena. It's not possible to buy a Fairphone in the US from our webshop. Murena will also handle all your support requests and warranty questions. For more information about our partnership, read our Frequently Asked Questions.

For network coverage in the US, we recommend using T-Mobile. It's important to note that Fairphone is not optimized for Verizon and AT&T. While some features may work with these or other operators, you may experience issues with general connectivity and emergency calls.

Using your Fairphone in Colombia, Ecuador, Turkey and others

Fairphone devices cannot be used in countries that require specific local product registration or homologation. This certification process is typically in place to prevent the anonymous use of mobile devices. For example, the phone is not registered in the USA and thus doesn't have the required FCC registration code that would allow usage.

Registration is mandatory in some countries. This means that you can not use the device with a SIM card after the period has ended that each country has set (usually 1 month). You can still use the device with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connections.

Using your Fairphone in the rest of the world

Your Fairphone supports 2G networks globally, meaning you should have basic connectivity wherever a 2G network is available. For 3G, 4G, and 5G, Fairphone supports at least one commonly used band internationally. This increases the likelihood of a 3G or 4G connection, with 2G serving as a fallback in areas with limited network support.

Keep in mind, some network operators restrict international use, especially on pre-paid plans. Check with your network operator for the terms and conditions for international use.
