Connect to a Bluetooth device
Important: Some of these steps only work if your Fairphone has Android 13 or above. Learn how to Check and update your software version.
Bluetooth allows your Fairphone to connect wirelessly to other devices. When connected to a Bluetooth device, you can share data, listen to music or video, and more.
Turn Bluetooth on or off
To turn Bluetooth on or off using the Settings app, follow these steps:
- On your Fairphone, go to Settings → Connected devices → Connection preferences → Bluetooth.
- Tap Use Bluetooth to turn on or off.
To turn Bluetooth on or off using Quick Settings, follow these steps:
- On your Fairphone, swipe down from the top of the screen.
- Tap Bluetooth to turn on or off.
Tip: Tap and hold Bluetooth from your Quick Settings to quickly access more options.
Connect to a Bluetooth device
To connect to a Bluetooth device, follow these steps:
- On your Fairphone, go to Settings → Connected devices → Pair new device.
- If Bluetooth is turned off, it will turn on to pair a new device.
- Wait for the Bluetooth device to appear, and then tap the name of the device you want to connect to.
- If the Bluetooth device doesn't appear, check the instructions that came with the device or contact the manufacturer for support.
- Tap Pair.
- If needed, confirm the Bluetooth pairing code.
Once connected, you'll see the device under Connected devices. You can see previously connected devices under Saved devices.
Remove a Bluetooth device
To remove a Bluetooth device, follow these steps:
- On your Fairphone, go to Settings → Connected devices.
- Under Saved devices, tap See all to see previously connected Bluetooth devices.
- Look for the name of the device you want to remove, and then tap the settings icon to the right of the device's name.
- Tap Forget.
