How to fix Bluetooth connection issues on your Fairphone

  • Region:Europe
  • Updated

If your Fairphone is having trouble pairing with or staying connected to a Bluetooth device, follow these steps to resolve the issue.

These steps require Android 13 or later. Find out How to check and update your software version.

What to check before you begin

  • Ensure the Bluetooth device you want to connect is turned on, fully charged, and within range of your Fairphone.
  • Test the Bluetooth device with another phone or computer. If other devices cannot connect to it either, the issue is likely with the device itself. Check the device manufacturer's manual for specific support.

Quick connection fixes

If you cannot connect to your Bluetooth device, try these initial troubleshooting steps:

Reset network and connection settings

This step will reset all saved WiFi networks and Bluetooth device connections.

  1. On your Fairphone, open Settings > System > Reset options.
  2. Tap Reset Bluetooth & Wi-Fi > Reset.

After resetting your network settings, try pairing your device again.

Test compatibility with another device

Try connecting your Fairphone to a different Bluetooth device. If your phone connects successfully to another device, the primary Bluetooth accessory may not be compatible. Contact the accessory manufacturer to confirm its compatibility with your Fairphone.
