How to set up hotspot and tethering on your Fairphone

You can use hotspot and tethering to share your Fairphone's mobile data connection with other devices via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB. This lets connected devices access the internet using your mobile plan.

How to set up a Wi-Fi hotspot

To share your connection over Wi-Fi:

  1. On your Fairphone, go to Settings > Network & internet > Hotspot & tethering.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi hotspot and then tap Use Wi-Fi hotspot to toggle it on or off.

How to set up Bluetooth tethering

To share your connection using Bluetooth:

  1. Connect your Fairphone with the other device using Bluetooth.
  2. On your Fairphone, go to Settings > Network & internet > Hotspot & tethering.
  3. Tap Bluetooth tethering to toggle it on or off.

How to set up USB tethering

To share your connection using a physical cable:

  1. Connect your Fairphone to the other device using a USB cable.
  2. On your Fairphone, go to Settings > Network & internet > Hotspot & tethering.
  3. Tap USB tethering to toggle it on or off.
