To enjoy the possibilities offered by Open Android OS without having to go through the trouble of installing it yourself, you can purchase /e/OS The Fairphone (Gen. 6) or /e/OS Fairphone 5 directly at Fairphone or Murena.

If you are a tech savvy user, you will be happy to know that you can unlock the bootloader of your Fairphone to install an alternative operating system such as /e/OS.

 

What is /e/OS? - For advanced users

Murena has made available its /e/OS for The Fairphone (Gen. 6), Fairphone 5, Fairphone 4, Fairphone 3(+), and Fairphone 2.

-IMPORTANT-
For Fairphone 2, we offered Fairphone Open, an OS with no Google services pre-installed. Fairphone Open will NOT work on other Fairphone versions.

 

Do I get warranty coverage if I am Google-Free?

Fairphone only supports devices purchased from our online shop. If you need our assistance, and the device does not have the operating software you originally purchased it with, you will first need to revert Android OS to restore the original warranty.

This information is also stated in our warranty and is accessible to you in our legal hub.
