Latest available software versions
Important: The availability of some updates may be delayed by up to a few weeks. This depends on your country and network operator.

How to check your current software version
To check which software version you have:
- Go to Settings → About phone → Build number.
- Compare your build number with the Latest available software version for your Fairphone.
How to update to the latest software version
Before starting the update process, back up and charge your Fairphone to at least 80% to prevent any data loss or interruption during installation.
If your Fairphone is connected to the internet, you'll get a notification when an update is available for you. Open it and follow the steps to update to the latest software version.
If you don't get a notification:
- Go to Settings → System → System update.
- Tap Check for update to check if an update is available.
- If an update appears, tap Update.
Note: You may notice your Fairphone feels warm during or after the update process. This is normal, as your phone uses more power while optimising the new software version.
