How to change or cancel a Fairphone gift card

When you purchase a Fairphone gift card, you can update certain details or cancel your order under specific conditions. This guide explains your options and how to make these changes.

What you can change on your gift card

If you bought a gift card from our online shop, you can perform the following actions:

  • Change the email address of the recipient.
  • Change the total amount.
  • Cancel the purchase completely.

You cannot change the country of the recipient. This restriction exists because of differences in local currencies, copyright levies, and shipping rules. If you need to change the recipient's country, you must cancel the order and place a new one.

Changing the recipient's email address

If you enter an incorrect email address for the recipient, please contact our customer support team.

If the recipient has already used the gift code, you cannot cancel or resend the gift card.

Changing the gift card amount

Your options depend on whether you have already paid for the order.

If you have not paid yet

  1. Log in to your account on our online shop.
  2. Go to My account > My orders and cancel the unpaid order.
  3. Place a new order for a gift card with the correct amount.

If you have already paid

You cannot change the value or the number of gift cards once payment is complete. Instead, you have two choices:

  • Cancel the order entirely, which is only possible if the code has not been redeemed yet.
  • Purchase an additional gift card for the remaining balance.

Canceling your gift card purchase

Customer support can cancel and refund your gift card order if you meet both of the following requirements:

  • You contact us within 14 days after the gift card is issued.
  • The recipient has not used the gift card code yet.

If 14 days have passed or the code has been redeemed, you can no longer cancel the gift card.
