How do I check my Fairphone Gift Card Balance?
-IMPORTANT-
- The Fairphone Gift Card has an expiration date of 36 months (3 years) counting from the date of issue. Once you add the gift card to your balance in your account, the funds will not expire.
- It is not possible to combine more than one gift card or discount code. Per order, you can use only one code.
How do I give a Fairphone Gift Card?
The Gift Card is a unique code that we send to the receiver on behalf of the sender. The person who buys the card, will not receive the unique code. The sender will receive an order confirmation.
To give a beloved one a Fairphone Gift Card:
- Go to the dedicated Gift Card page in our online shop.
- Select the amount you want to put on the Gift Card. You can either select one of the suggested amounts or type the amount yourself.
- Enter your name, recipient's name, recipient's e-mail address and a message of choice that will be visible on the Gift Card.
- You can select "Preview Gift Card" to see how the Gift Card will look like once it is sent to the recipient.
- Add it to your cart.
- If your cart contains all the items you wish to buy, select "Go to checkout".
- Fill in your payment details and pay for your order.
- When you place the order, we send you an order confirmation via email with the product code (SKU) of the Gift Card, this is not the unique Fairphone Gift Card account code.
- When your payment is processed successfully, we send a payment confirmation via email with the invoice. This moment is the date of issue.
- The receiver of the Gift Card receives an e-mail with a unique code they have to apply to their cart before checkout. If they did not receive it, let them check their spam folder first.
When you do not receive these confirmation e-mails, check your spam folder first. If they are not there, log in to your account to check if your mail address is correct.
How do I use a Fairphone Gift Card?
When you are the lucky recipient of a Fairphone Gift Card, use it when you place an order.
To make use of a Gift Card code:
- Go to our online shop to place your order.
- Go to your cart.
- At the right side of the order overview, you see the field Gift Card/Discount code.
- Enter the unique code you received in your email.
- Select the button Enter below it.
- Verify that the amount was applied to your order.
- If so, proceed and push the yellow button below Continue checkout. If not, contact our Customer Support.
- Fill in all the required fields in Checkout and push the yellow button Save.
- Check if your Shipping address is the same as your Billing address.
- Select your preferred shipping option.
- Push on the yellow button Continue to review and pay.
- Pay for the remaining amount if applicable.
- Via email, you will receive:
- An order confirmation.
- A payment confirmation with an invoice that shows the Fairphone Gift Card account code and the amount used for that order.
How do I check my Fairphone Gift Card Balance?
Currently, our online shop does not have a dedicated balance-checker tool for gift cards. However, you can easily find your exact remaining balance by following this quick workaround:
Step 1: Add a high-value item to your cart
Go to the Fairphone website and add a high-value item (like The Fairphone) to your shopping cart.
Step 2: Apply your code
Go to your Cart.
On the right side of the order overview, locate the Gift Card/Discount code field.
Enter your unique code and click Apply code.
Look at the deducted amount — this is your current gift card balance.
Step 3: Choose your next step
If you want to buy the item now: Verify the discount has been applied, click the "Go to checkout" button on the right, and complete your order.
If you want to save your gift card for later: Click Remove next to the gift card code in your order overview. You can then safely empty your cart or leave the shop.
Gift Card FAQ
Can I use my gift card more than once?
Yes you can! If the total of your order is less than the value on your Gift Card the remaining balance will stay available on your Gift Card for later use.
Can I use multiple Gift Cards on a single order?
Yes you can use multiple Gift Cards on a single order, if the total of the order is greater than that of the first Gift Card applied.
Can I use a gift card and a discount code/promotion together?
Yes, you can use Gift Cards on an order that promotional codes have been used in, or promotions applied to.
Do gift cards expire?
No, they do not!
What happens if I return an item bought with a gift card?
You will have to connect with one of our customer support agents to help process your refund. They will either top up the remainder of your old Gift Card if it still has balance, or create a new one with the required amount.
Can I return a gift card?
Gift Cards can be returned within the first 14 days if they have not been used. However, the money has to be refunded to the original account that purchased the gift card.
