Troubleshooting credit card payment issues at checkout

If your credit card payment fails during checkout in our online shop, identifying the cause can help you complete your order smoothly. Follow this guide to check supported card types and resolve common payment errors before trying again.

Supported credit cards by region

Before placing an order, make sure your card type is accepted in your destination country:

  • France: Carte Bancaire, American Express, Diners, Discover, JCB, Maestro, Mastercard, and Visa.
  • Denmark: VisaDankort, American Express, Diners, Discover, JCB, Maestro, Mastercard, and Visa.
  • All other supported countries: American Express, Diners, Discover, JCB, Maestro, Mastercard, and Visa.

How to resolve common payment errors

Credit card transactions can fail due to missing address details, browser settings, or bank security protocols. Review the troubleshooting steps below to resolve your issue:

Missing house number in shipping address

Your shipping address requires a house number. Orders missing a house number are canceled automatically.

If you are shipping to a country where addresses do not always have house numbers, enter 1 in the house number field to complete your order.

Active pop-up blocker

Pop-up blockers can stop the payment authentication window from opening. If you closed the pop-up window or have an active blocker, disable your pop-up blocker and place a new order in our online shop.

Card or bank limitations

Lack of available funds or daily spending limits can prevent transactions from completing. Check your account balance and contact your bank to verify there are no payment limitations affecting your card.

IP address and fraud prevention restrictions

Credit card companies enforce automated fraud prevention rules based on your IP address. If an IP security flag occurs, your order is canceled automatically. Get in touch with your credit card issuer to authorize your transaction.

Error: "3D Authentication failed"

3D Secure Authentication is a security protocol that requires extra details from you to verify a purchase. If you receive a "3D Authentication failed" error message or close the prompt early, your order cancels automatically.

  1. Place a new order in our online shop.
  2. Follow the prompt on your screen to complete the 3D Secure authentication step with your bank during checkout.
  3. If the error remains, contact your credit card issuer for additional information.

Paying with alternative payment methods

If your credit card payment continues to fail, you can complete your purchase using a different payment method such as PayPal or Google Pay.
