What you need before you begin

Before installing your accessories, review the required tools and proper technique below:

• Compatible model: The Fairphone (Gen. 6)
• Required tool: Torx T5 screwdriver (included with the lanyard, finger loop, and card holder)

Lanyard accessory

The lanyard lets you carry the Fairphone easily while keeping it handy at all times. The textile cord attaches through a stainless steel and aluminum connection system that screws directly onto the lower back cover of the phone.

How to install the lanyard: 

1. Loop the nylon cord through the steel ring of the connector.

2. Unscrew and remove the two screws located at the bottom of the lower back cover on your Fairphone.

3. Position the metal connection loops at the ends of the lanyard over the open screw holes.

4. Screw in the new screws included with your lanyard accessory through the loops and into the screw holes until you feel a light resistance, then one-quarter of a turn further. Do not reuse the original screws.

Finger loop accessory

The finger loop helps you maintain a secure grip on the phone while scrolling social feeds, watching videos, or reading on the go. Made from recycled hard plastic and silicone, it replaces the lower back cover of the phone and extends only when you need it.

How to install the finger loop

1. Use your Torx T5 screwdriver to unscrew the existing lower back cover from the phone.
2. Align the finger loop accessory in place of the lower back cover.
3. Tighten the screws gently until secure.

Card holder accessory

The card holder replaces the lower back cover of the phone so you can leave your wallet at home. It holds up to three cards, which you can quickly pull out using the easy eject mechanism. Made with a recycled hard plastic back and soft plastic and silicone sides, it adds minimal bulk to your phone.

How to install the card holder

1. Use your Torx T5 screwdriver to unscrew the existing lower back cover from the phone.
2. Screw the card holder accessory into place.
3. Tighten the screws gently until secure.
