Shipping countries, fees, and delivery options

Fairphone ships to many destinations across Europe. Here you can find everything you need to know about our shipping rates, delivery methods, and how to manage your order addresses.

Available shipping countries and delivery costs

We offer two options for shipping your order: standard shipping directly to your address, or pickup at a UPS Access Point™. All online shop orders use UPS Standard and feature carbon-neutral shipping, as we offset all transport emissions.

Prices listed are base rates and do not include potential payment platform fees, such as those charged by PayPal.

Unfortunately, we do not deliver to islands. We encourage you to order to the nearest pickup point to your island, or ship your parcel to someone you know on the mainland who can bring it to you.

Important rules for delivery fees and country restrictions

  • No surprise fees: For orders shipped to the UK, Norway, and Switzerland, all administrative, import, and customs fees are included in the item's price (Delivery Duty Paid - DDP). You will not be charged any additional fees when your order is delivered.
  • Local pricing differences: Orders shipped to Denmark, Finland, and Sweden may have a slightly higher final value due to local differences in taxation and currency exchange rates.
  • Countries not listed: Fairphone does not ship to countries outside of the listed territories. Due to legal restrictions, you cannot use a billing address or credit card from a country that is not on our shipping list.

How to use a UPS Access Point™

A UPS Access Point™ is a local business that partners with UPS to accept packages on your behalf, giving you a convenient pickup location. This option is not available in all shipping countries.

  • How to select: Choose the Pickup option during checkout.
  • Pickup time: You have 10 calendar days after delivery to collect your order from the location.
  • Requirements: You must show a valid ID when collecting your package.
  • Address changes: The selected Access Point cannot be changed after you place your order.
  • Billing address rule: You cannot choose an Access Point if your billing address is in a different country than your shipping address.
  • Damage: If your parcel is damaged, notify the UPS Access Point™ staff right away.

Buying from authorized resellers and warranty coverage

If you purchase a Fairphone from an authorized reseller (such as Amazon USA, Vireo, Murena, or Palcom) or import it yourself, please keep the following rules in mind:

  • Warranties: Fairphone’s standard warranties and sales conditions do not apply to these devices. You must follow the reseller's specific terms and contact them directly for after-sales support.
  • Batteries: Stand-alone lithium-ion batteries are classified as dangerous goods. Due to strict transport regulations, you cannot re-ship them internationally.
  • Extended warranty: You cannot register your phone for our commercial Extended Warranty unless specifically stated otherwise.
  • Using your phone outside Europe: Some countries have additional restrictions for the smartphones used on their territories. See more about using a Fairphone outside of Europe.

How to change your shipping or billing address

Whether you can change your address depends entirely on the status of your order:

  • Future orders: You can easily change or add an address through My Account > Address Book in the online shop, or directly during the Checkout process.
  • Existing orders in Awaiting Payment or Pre-Order status: Contact Fairphone's Customer Support immediately. We can sometimes make exceptions, but we cannot change the country of the shipping address (or the "département" in France) due to strict tax and customs regulations.
  • Existing orders in Processing status: You cannot change the address yourself once the order status reaches Processing.
